Dear Year 6 Parents,

It is soon coming up to a very exciting time when Year 6 is about to graduate and leave for high school. Traditionally, we farewell our year 6 class with a Graduation Dinner. We will be graduating at the LUSC in the Auditorium from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, 14th December. Parents and staff coordinate this event with student input. Parents form a Graduation Committee with different tasks delegated to those who would like to do them. The theme of the room, as suggested by the students, will follow a beach theme with details to be decided by the committee. The theme is for the room decorations, table settings, photo displays etc. The dress code for students and parents will be regular smart casual attire.

If you are interested in assisting with the Graduation, please join me and one of our Leadership Staff members at the LUSC on Wednesday, 11th October at 5:00 pm (Week 1) to peruse the venue, consider the setup and discuss the various tasks to prepare. The following are some of these:

Venue - Class Teacher will liaise with the club

Parent and Student Seating - Class Teacher will assist with this.

Theme and table/room decorations

Photo booth decorations and props

Welcome sign and entranceway

Cake order and design

Gift to Students and Gift to School

Photo slideshow - Teachers will provide photos and advise on the appropriate media format.

Music - Kid-friendly appropriate playlists - The teacher will liaise with the club for the most appropriate media format.

Photography- someone to volunteer
