From the Principal

Happy Easter!

As we celebrate the conclusion of a busy and productive Term 1, we recognise the many achievements and hard work of our students and staff. Happy Easter to all our wonderful families!

As we enter this special season, we reflect on the powerful messages of hope and renewal in our Catholic faith. Easter serves as a reminder of the miracle of the resurrection and the unwavering love that God has for each of us. May the joy and peace of Christ fill your homes and hearts this Easter. We encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of Easter in their lives, spreading compassion and love within our family and community.

Wishing you a relaxing, safe, and holy Easter, along with an enjoyable school holiday break together.

Leadership Report

Kindergarten 2026 Information and Open Night!

A huge thank you to all the new and existing families who attended our 2026 Kindergarten Information and Open Night this past Monday! It was a truly wonderful evening, with over 30 families joining us to tour our school and learn more about the exciting learning journey that awaits our youngest students.

IMG_3668IMG_3669IMG_3670IMG_3671

Our current students were absolute stars, warmly welcoming our guests and proudly showcasing some of the engaging activities they participate in, ranging from literacy and numeracy to demonstrating their skills in STEM, along with some impressive guitar-playing performances!

We extend a special thank you to our dedicated Leadership Team for their informative presentations and to all our incredible staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the night was a success – from setting up engaging displays and preparing food, to providing a welcoming babysitting service.

As mentioned in our previous newsletter, we have already received a significant number of enrolment applications for Kindergarten in 2026. To avoid disappointment, we strongly encourage all new and existing families to submit their enrolment applications as soon as possible.

Please note that the closing date for first-round enrolments is Monday, 28th April. Kindergarten enrolment interviews will commence in Week 8 of Term 2 for existing families and in Week 1 of Term 3 for new families.

If you have any questions regarding the enrolment process, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.

Reflecting on the Stations of the Cross

A special thank you to Mrs. Toole, Ms. Peck and our wonderful Year 5&6 students for their powerful and moving reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. Their thoughtful portrayal of this significant story provided a profound and meaningful experience for our entire school community, allowing us to reflect deeply on the important values of compassion, sacrifice, and hope.

As we look forward to returning to school, we eagerly anticipate celebrating the joyous resurrection of Jesus, the light of the world.

Easter Raffle a Cracking Success!

A massive thank you to our wonderful Easter Raffle fundraising committee and team behind the scenes– Erin Elliot, Nicole Qadir, Katie Oberg and Meegan Kelly – for their incredible organisation and hard work in making this year's raffle such a fantastic success! The event brought smiles to countless faces, and we are so grateful for their dedication. Thank you also to our Easter Bunny, Jack Elliott, who delighted the students as he bounced through the hall.

IMG_5296.JPEG

We also extend a special acknowledgement to all our generous families who donated Easter eggs and to everyone who supported the raffle by purchasing tickets. The committee did an outstanding job preparing approximately 70 amazing raffle prizes and ensuring that every child left the hall with an Easter egg in hand.

IMG_2464IMG_2466IMG_2468 (1)IMG_2468

Over $1500 was raised and these funds will go towards some playground upgrades and additions. Congratulations to all the lucky prize winners! If you were not present on the day, please note that you have been contacted regarding the collection of your prize.

Thank you again to everyone involved in making the Easter Raffle a memorable and successful fundraising event for our school!

Project Compassion Day

Last Friday, our Mission Leaders ran their major fundraiser for Project Compassion. Students walked (in total) more than 50km, transporting 700L of water from one end of the playground to the other.

Students learned how important infrastructure, such as water tanks, is to communities and schools. This term, our student leaders raised over $500. All money raised goes towards Caritas, who help communities around the world. Well done, students!!

A special thanks to Mr Galvin and some of our year 6 students who got sprayed to raise extra funds.
