A Message from the Acting Principal
As we reflect on the Feast Day of St Peter and St Paul this week, we are reminded of the enduring message of hope and faith that their lives inspire. Their courage and commitment to spreading the Good News is a powerful reminder that even in challenging times, we can find strength and light through our faith and community.
As we approach the end of another busy term, I am filled with hope and gratitude. I hope that every student and family feels this term has been productive, joyful, and filled with learning, growth and fun. It has been an honour to lead our school community in Mr Galvin’s absence, and I trust he is enjoying every moment of his overseas adventures.
A heartfelt thank you to:
- Mrs Kristan Nichols, for stepping up as Acting Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching
- Mrs Fiona Hayward, for taking on the role of Leader of Learning during this time
- Mrs Leanne Hyland, for filling in some of our Teaching roles
Your dedication, wisdom, and care have made a great impact.
I also want to extend my deepest thanks to all our amazing staff, students, and families who continue to make our school such a warm and thriving place. Together, we make a community that is truly the best it can be.
Parent-Teacher Interviews
Thank you to all families who made time to meet with teachers this week. These conversations are so valuable in building strong partnerships that support the learning and wellbeing of your children. Special thanks to our teachers, who have gone above and beyond—starting early and finishing late—to accommodate these meetings.
Winter Appeal Day
What a wonderful success! Not only was the day full of pyjama fun and community spirit, but we also collected a generous number of food donations for those in need. Thank you to everyone for the contributions.
Kempsey Dance Eisteddfod
We are incredibly proud of our three dance Teams who performed with great talent and teamwork. The results were fantastic, with each team receiving a Highly Commended in their section, and the students represented our school with excellence and joy. Well done, dancers and their dedicated Teachers - Mrs Lorna Aldridge, Mrs Jessica Larkan, Mrs Jessica Koenig, Mrs Leanne Hyland and Mrs Leah Toole!
A big thank you also to our wonderful parents for helping with hair and make up before the performances!

Kindy Teacher Update
We’re excited to welcome Miss Lulham back from maternity leave to teach in Kindergarten for two days a week next term. We also sincerely thank Mrs Larkan for her wonderful support and care in Kindy this term. She will continue on staff one day per week supporting primary classes and will also be one of our regular casual teachers.
As we head into the school holidays, I hope every family enjoys a well-deserved rest. May your time be filled with laughter, warmth, and moments of togetherness. Stay safe, stay warm, and take time to recharge for the exciting term ahead.
Looking ahead, please mark your calendars for Grandparents Day on Friday, 25th July (Week 1, Term 3). We can't wait to welcome our much-loved grandparents into our school for this special celebration.Wishing everyone a joyful, peaceful, and hope-filled break.
Best wishes from the leadership team
