Our school's Year 5 and 6 students held the $20 Boss Market Day on Wednesday, which was a big success! These young entrepreneurs showcased their creativity and teamwork by setting up a vibrant marketplace with a variety of products, all created with just a $20 investment. From handmade crafts to services, the students impressed everyone with their business skills.
The event drew parents, teachers, and students, contributing to the students' businesses, raising $1800 in profit, after students paid back the initial $20 investments plus $1 interest! This profit will be divided into two equal amounts, with half being donated to the Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal and the other half contributing to the Year 6 gift to the school.
The $20 Boss initiative taught the students not only about making money but also important life skills like marketing and financial management. It was a day filled with smiles, proud faces, and a sense of community spirit, marking a memorable milestone for these budding entrepreneurs. Thank you again to all the families and teachers who supported students in participating in this event!
On Wednesday, our wonderful Choir sang at Whiddon Nursing Home. They sang three Christmas Carols with enthusiasm and big smiles, including a dance solo by Ivy and singing solos by Polly, AJ, Briohny and Emme.
students had to design a way to move 3 rocks across the mat without touching them.
Happy Birthday
