Monday marked a special milestone for our youngest learners as we welcomed the Kindergarten class of 2025. The Kindergarten Welcome Assembly and Morning Tea proved a heartwarming occasion, bringing together students, parents, carers, grandparents, and staff. A special acknowledgement goes to Mrs Kristan Nichols, Mrs Natalie Hurrell, Mrs Jessica Larkin, Ms Hilary Burch, and all the staff who contributed to making the day a success and ensuring that the smiles lasted from morning until the end of the day.
After a week of unpredictable weather, our swimming carnival was blessed with sunshine, resulting in a wonderful display of competition and camaraderie. A huge thank you to Mrs Nat Hurrell, Mrs Bec Faddy, and all the staff and parent volunteers who contributed to the event's success. Our students' enthusiasm and sportsmanship were truly inspiring, and we commend our new House Leaders for their exceptional leadership throughout the day. Once again, thank you to everyone who joined and supported the carnival, making it a memorable day for our school community.
We look forward to welcoming parents and carers at the Parent Information Night on Wednesday, February 19th, as well as during the Parent-to-Teacher chats scheduled for next week, starting Thursday and continuing into Week 4. Each teacher will deliver a 30-minute presentation covering classroom routines, expectations, curriculum content, and communication processes. Additionally, the 'Parent to Teacher' meetings provide a valuable opportunity for you to discuss your child’s learning preferences, well-being, and other important matters directly with their class teacher. For more details, please refer to the Compass News feed sent out to families on Tuesday, February 11th.
Families are warmly invited to our opening school mass on Friday, 21st February, at 9:30 am. Year 6 students will be inducted into their Leadership roles and Kindergarten will have a special welcome.
On Saturday 1st March, we will be holding our annual Family Night. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and mingle. After listening to parent feedback, we are hoping to trial a new format, which will include a family parish mass followed by activities, a silent disco and a shared dinner back at school. We are still finalising the details, so if you would like to contribute your wonderful ideas, please reach out to Maria Wilson or Fiona Hayward through the office.
Best wishes from the leadership team
