3D Printing Stage 3
This week during the Entrepreneurial Education program being implemented in Stage 3, students were able to use the design thinking process and a 3D printer to solve a real world problem.
Students were provided with a choice of two tasks. The first option was to design a fidget for a neurodivergent student, the second option involved designing a small, lightweight toy or game that could easily be posted to less fortunate children in a third world country.
Students identified the Social Catholic Teaching and Global Sustainable Development Goal for their project and started designing away using an online software package called Tinker Cad.
The students had so much fun and can't wait to finish and start printing their designs next week!
Special mention to parent helper Aaron Jackson who set up our new 3D printer and repaired our old one!
