Tell Them From Me Survey
Thank you for all your responses to the parent Tell Them From Me Survey. On Tuesday Night, we hit our goal of 60 surveys, so every child was rewarded with a Zooper Dooper on Wednesday. Students in years 4-6 completed their survey last week.
We look forward to analysing the data, celebrating successes and making goals for the future.
Eucharist Reflection Night
Thank you to the children and parents who ventured out on a cold and wet Wednesday night for our reflection night. It was a lovely night of learning and family connection. We continue to pray for our children making their Sacrament of First Eucharist on Sunday, 22nd June at 9 am. All are welcome. A reminder that the Family Faith Night has moved to Saturday, 4th August, next term
Uniform Reminders
Please double-check uniforms. Please wear black shoes with plain white socks (socks need to be showing). While we are waiting for some jackets to come in, old-style school jackets may be worn. Plain navy scarves are permitted. Please ensure names are on all items.
School Photoshoot
On Wednesday, June 18th, photographers will visit the school to create a new gallery of school photos for marketing and promotional purposes. Could we please ensure that all children wear their full and correct school uniform on this day?
Flood Jersey Fundraiser Day
Our student Mission Leaders want to help people affected by recent flooding. They decided to do a State of Origin Day, but it fell on our photoshoot day, so we changed it to a Jersey Day next Friday, 13th June. We know that many people are struggling right now, so everyone is asked to wear a jersey, casual clothes, and closed-in shoes, and donate whatever they can. We looked at who was helping people affected by floods and found that Bishop Greg has started a flood appeal that will directly help people in this region. All funds will go to this appeal.
Winter Appeal
Every Winter, our Mission team holds an event to help the needy and homeless in our area through St. Vincent de Paul. This is called the Winter Appeal. Our Mission leaders are busy finding out what is needed this year and creating their advertising, so watch this space and save the date… Wednesday 2nd July.
Public Holiday Monday 9th June
Athletic Carnival
At this stage, we hope that our Athletics Carnival will proceed next Thursday, 12th June. The council will need to open the fields and mark the lines. Our back-up date is Thursday, 19th June, if we are notified that the field is not ready or open.
In the meantime, please complete the compass note and order lunches if using the canteen. For Little Athletics Competitors wishing to compete in the High Jump, you will need to complete a form available through the office and have it signed off by your coach. For 8-year-olds in year 2 only, you need to nominate whether you will be doing competitive events or novelty events for the day. This is so Mrs Hurrell can group you properly.
Best wishes from the leadership team
