Leadership Report

School Photoshoot – Thank You!

A big thank you to all students, staff, and families for your support during our recent school photoshoot on Wednesday. The day ran smoothly thanks to everyone’s cooperation and joyful participation in the life of our school. We look forward to seeing the final photos, which will be an excellent addition to our website, promotional material and future communication. Your help in ensuring uniforms were neat and students were photo-ready is greatly appreciated.

Glow Retreat – Year 6

On Friday, our Year 6 students participated in the Glow retreat—a day filled with prayerful reflection, teamwork, and celebration. It was a meaningful opportunity for students to pause, connect, and develop their faith alongside year 6 students from other Catholic Primary Schools before preparing for the next stage of their learning journey in high school. Thank you to everyone involved in making the retreat such a special and memorable experience.

Semester One reports

These will be released to families on Friday next week. These reports provide an overview of each student’s learning achievements in each Key Learnign Area, what students can do and areas for growth. We encourage families to take the time to read through the reports with their children and celebrate their efforts and successes.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Bookings are now open on Compass. Please see the compass newsfeed sent on Monday, 16th June 2025, regarding our Parent Teacher Interviews. These will be held during Week 10 (Monday, 30th June to Thursday, 3rd July). This is a great opportunity to discuss your child/ren’s progress and we encourage all parents to book in. Due to the mandated changes in the simplified way of writing report comments, Teachers would love the opportunity to speak to you in person about more personal information about your child’s learning and wellbeing. We are looking forward to seeing you all during this week.

First Holy Communion – This Sunday

This Sunday, a number of our students will be receiving their First Holy Communion during a special Eucharist celebration. This is a significant milestone in their faith journey, and we ask our school community to keep these students and their families in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to coming together in support of them on this important day at St Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church at 9 am Mass, followed by morning tea in the Church Hall.

Winter Appeal

Our Mission Students are organising this year’s Winter Appeal. If you are able, please bring donations of non-perishable food items. All items are given to St Vincent de Paul in Laurieton and distributed to needy families in the Camden Haven region. They have informed us that people are in great need at this time. Students will wear Pyjamas and/or Winter type clothing - Oodies are a hit on these days. Please ensure children have enclosed shoes and clothes underneath support the students when they get hot.

Kinder 2026 Interviews – Starting Next Week

We’re excited to begin welcoming our future students during the Kinder 2026 interviews starting next week. It’s always a joy to meet the youngest members of our school community and connect with our existing families. Mr. Galvin will be meeting our new families in Term 3. We look forward to getting to know everyone over the coming weeks as we prepare these future students for their transition to big school in 2026!

Dance Showcase

Please join us next Friday, 20th, at 2:00 pm in the school hall to see our school Dance Teams' performances for the first time! Parents of dancers, please ensure your child wears their correct hair and undergarments as instructed in your compass notes on this day (which can be found in your event resources).

Father’s Day Fundraiser – Volunteers Needed

We are currently seeking parent volunteers to help with our Father’s Day fundraiser. Unfortunately, Bunnings is no longer available to offer workshops, so we are exploring new ways to host this important event. If you’re able to lend a hand with planning or running the fundraiser, we’d love to hear from you. Your support helps make events like these possible for our school community.

Best wishes from the leadership team
