It's been a pleasure meeting many of our new Kindergarten parents and their wonderful children over the past few weeks during our 2026 Kindergarten Enrolment Interview meetings! We've enjoyed getting to know each of them and are very excited about them joining our school community. We've also appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with our existing families as they've brought along their younger children for interviews. It's always a delight to see familiar faces and welcome new siblings! Interviews will continue next week, with letters of offer being sent out in the coming weeks.
We look forward to meeting with parents and carers at the upcoming School Community Group meeting, scheduled for Monday, 4 August, at 6:00 PM. During the meeting, we will discuss further planning for fundraising and friend-raising events, future parent education opportunities, special school projects, and general business topics. If any parents or carers would like to add items to the agenda, please forward them to larp@lism.catholic.edu.au.
The Zoom link will be sent via Compass.
We are looking forward to our Family Faith night on Saturday 2nd August. Emails have been sent to those who have RSVP’d. It may be a little wet, so bring your umbrellas for the dash between the church and parish hall. Meals can be left at the hall from 4:40 pm onwards, while you and the children attend Mass. Can we have the choir, readers and offertory children be at mass by 4:50pm, dressed in warm casual/smart casual clothes.
With much organisation that goes into the dinner and after-mass activities, the cut off for RSVP has now passsed, however, all are welcome to join us at Mass from 5-6pm.
RSVPs are now open on Compass for our Well Being NIght and Pyjama party.
On Monday, 11th August, we will hold a Well-Being Night. There will be education sessions for parents, and a movie and popcorn for the kids with pizza dinner supplied for everyone. Children are encouraged to wear their Pyjamas, Oodies and Ugg Boots so they can slide straight to bed when they get home. Alternative warm clothes are fine. Parents don't need to wear their Pyjamas, unless you are game!
Plan:
5:30 Parents drop children to Library (Movie/Pizza and Popcorn)
5:35 Parents gather in the hall for dinner/tea/coffee
5:45 Explain how the night works to parents
5:55 Session 1 - parents choose from one of the 5 speakers
6:20 Session 2 - parents choose from one of the 5 speakers
6:40 Session 3 - parents choose from one of the 5 speakers
7:00 Pick children up from the Library- go home
Best wishes from the leadership team
