On Friday, the 24th of October, students at St Joseph’s Primary School, Laurieton, will come to school in casual clothes and will be wearing their crazy socks. Students bring a gold coin donation to raise money for Catholic Mission, who are helping the country Zambia, this year. On the day classes will come down to the basketball court to kick penalties with soccer balls made out of rags, plastic bags and other materials. This is how kids make balls in third-world countries.
The Mission Team aims to raise $367. This money will help communities in Zambia to implement better harvesting and farming practices, to help families overcome hunger and poverty.
