Father’s Day Celebration
Today’s Father's Day celebration was a resounding success, bringing our school community together to honour the incredible fathers and father figures who guide and support our children. We started the day with a delicious bacon and egg roll breakfast that was enjoyed by all. The highlight of the morning was our special Liturgy, beautifully led by the students of Years 2 and 3 and organised by Mrs. Steep and Mrs. Watts.
A huge thank you to Catherine Dollery and the Father's Day School Community Group Committee for organising and running a fantastic Father's Day Stall and supporting the organisation of the Breakfast BBQ.
What a wonderful way to reflect on the importance of fathers in our lives and the lives of our children. We hope all of our dads, grandfathers, and father figures felt celebrated and appreciated. Happy Father's Day!
Teacher’s Assistant Week
This week, our school community came together to celebrate our amazing Teacher's Assistants (TAs) and office staff for Teacher's Assistant Week!
We showed our gratitude and appreciation for everything they do for our students and school community with a special morning tea on Wednesday. A huge thank you to Jess Larkan for organising this great event and for coordinating all the students to write thoughtful affirmations and cards for our Teacher's Assistants. The heartfelt notes and celebration were truly appreciated by all our TAs!
Speech and Drama Eisteddfodd
Good luck to our huge contingent of Drama students performing at this weekend’s’ Speech and Drama Eisteddfodd. A massive thank you to Mrs Toole and Mrs Egan who have given up countless lunchetimes to practice over 40 students with all their different individual and group performances. We know how much growth comes from just taking the stage, so you are definitely all superstars in our eyes!
Confirmation
Confirmation will be held on Monday 15th September at 5pm in the Parish church. As we have a small group making their Sacrament, we would love as many families to come along and join the celebration.
We will be seeking additional choir members as well. If your child would like to sing, please contact the office or let Mrs Wilson know. Year 3 students have been sent a compass event for a Confirmation Retreat Day next Friday.
Best wishes from the leadership team

Dear Families,
We're putting together a project to help you support your child's learning at home. We know how important your role is, and we want to make sure we're providing resources that are most helpful to you.
The goal of this short survey is to find out what topics you'd like to learn more about. This will help us identify the most requested subjects so we can create or find useful videos and resources for you.
Please take a few moments to fill out the survey and tell us:
-
What year level is your child in?
-
What specific topics are you interested in?
Please be as detailed as possible!
For example:
-
Maths: "How to multiply two-digit numbers?" or "What games would help my child with their Maths?"
-
English: "How to help my child read fluently?" or "How to teach proper letter formation?"
-
Other: "How to do an effective Google search?" or "How does my child access Google Classroom at home?"
We'll choose the most popular topics and get to work on creating helpful resources for you.
Thank you for your partnership in your child's education!
Sincerely, SJPL Teachers
